Do I need any more micros?

I am now using EI macros w/ Plantex CSM+B.

New tank water is prepared with Seachem Alkaline Buffer and Equilibrium to bring KH and GH to 5 and 6 respectively. (from 2 and 2)

Equilibrium has a ton of micros, should I be supplementing with anything more?

Also, is there a more cost effective version of the Seachem powders? I heard I can replace AB with baking soda?

Not sure how much this helps but... I moved from Seachem liquid bottles over to nilocG Thrive all in one and I also use nilocG GH Booster (dry). During the discussions before I changed I learned that the nilocG dry ferts are cheaper and very well respected when using EI dosing.

nilocG EI (and PPS-PRO) dosing charts

Good luck!

I can also certainly vouch for the nilocG stuff. Top quality, everything single product I have purchased. Couldn't be happier with the growth, and the price is right.
