polyethylene In aquarium.

I want to use some ecorasters to create some height in a future aquarium. We have some at home (it is used to keep gravel together when walking or riding on it). It is already used outside so gotta clean it Well. The material is polyethylene. Is this safe to use?

I think it ought to be aquarium safe. You might set it in a tub with tank water and then check the parameters over the next few weeks to make sure nothing is leaching out.
How are you planning use it? Will this go under the gravel in a planted tank?

Seems like a good idea. Yes this will be under aqua soil to create height with rocks. It's for saving some money. Plan is to make a forest scape with Spiderwood and lava rocks.

Polyethylene is usually safe, unless it has some out of the ordinary filler.
