CSM+B Mixed in blender

I was thinking about sending my dry CSM+B mix through a small blender/coffee grinder to get better uniformity in the mix. Is there any reason I shouldn't do this?

I tried with a small portion and the only thing I noticed was it would get warm after about a minute of blending, would this mess with anything in CSM+B?

Resulting mix came out powdery, increased volume, and definitely looks more uniform.

I would call this overworked! I just store it in a jar and turn/shake the yard when it appears to not be fully mixed. It is not a precise item at best as we are only estimating what is needed.

Yeah I may be over thinking things. I've been having issues which I think are trace related and I was going to try the "Burr method" of very little CSM+B. Making a solution calls for something like 330mg in a 500ml container, adding so little I thought there might be issues of getting less of one too much of another if the CSM+B wasn't very uniform.

CSM+B is soooo 1992. Everybody knows rolling your own is where it's at ever since @burr740 started doing it two weeks ago

In all seriousness, it does seem reasonable CSMB might not be the best solution for micro dosing for a number of reasons. Consistency being one. The EDTA concern that @Zorfox and others are discussing here, etc.

I've tried to get around the CSMB consistency issue by mixing something like 6g CSMB in 2 liters, discarding the extra solution, and then doing smaller doses. Wasteful admittedly, but I'd be a bit worried about powderizing and inhaling heavy metals.

If you're willing to invest the time to mill your CSMB, it might we worth considering the move to another method and contributing to that thread.
