Aponogeton sp.

This plant was sold to me recently as Aponogeton sp. But I'm not so sure it is an aponogeton. What do you think?

Kinda looks like crinium calamistratum or natans to me. I think that aponogeton crispus has much wider leaves than your plant.

Looks like the crypt retrospiralis I recently got. Definitely not aponogeton- those would have a bulb, not a rhizome. And yes the leaves on apono crispus are wider.

When I first got it:

Hard to see because the original leaves melted and it's just growing back- crypt balansae is the bigger brownish one, crypt retrospiralis is the thinner-leaved brownish one (also wavy edges) behind the vallisneria here.

Crypts in the left corner, aponogeton crispus tallest bright green plants in center.
BettaBettas and BettaBettas like this.

Looks very similar to me. Yours could be the 'bronze' variety?

I had the C. wendtii "Bronze" before but that one grows much taller about 10 - 12 inches. But this one stays low, 3 - 4 inches. That's why I kept it in the front much like a carpet plant.

Maybe it's Crypt becketti 'petchii' - mine has reddish leaves- but it is a new plant to me so not sure.
