Question Newbie and Fertilizers

Hi All,

I have a planted tank that is currently been running for about 6 months and everything seems find, plants are growing, but lately have been seeing some yellowing in older leaves and as well as pinholes and brown dots (diatoms?). From what I understand this is a potassium deficiency. I'm currently only dosing with Seachem Flourish twice a week, which is just micro nutrient from my understanding, but I have the feeling ill need some macro nutrients?

My setup is below:
ph - 6.8-7.0
Ammonia - 0
Nitrite - 0
Nitrate - 0 - 10ppm very hard to tell sometimes, more on the 0 side. Which I'm guessing I need more of.
Also injecting CO2

Is it worth getting the Seachem Potassium and dose with that?

I can see a lot of people around here love the dry ferts, but being a newbie makes me a little uncomfortable until I get the right balance.

Any suggestions or advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks

Dry ferts aren't different from things like Seachem Potassium, you just pay for the water ;-) There're many good calculators to calculate your dose, I would get some KNO3, KH2PO4 and K2SO2 (sometimes potassium from KNO3 is enough, so it might not be needed). If your water is soft you might consider buying some MgSO4 too. Don't be scared! You will save great amount of money buying dry ferts. Check some calculator and ask any questions you need! You could go with PPS-Pro regime, it's pretty easy and doesn't add as much ferts as EI, here is how to use it:
