Phosphate trouble (i think)

hello all,
I have killed all my black beard algae!, but now, i think due to all the dead algae, my phosphates are reading 1ppm, and i have no detectable nitrates, so rather than doing a water change should i just add some nitrogen? i don't think 1ppm of phosphate is all that bad for a planted tank the worry is that i think its gonna allow for my BBA to come back and i don't want this to happen. so should i start dosing nitrate or do a water change? or something else I'm stumped..

I would dose 10-15ppm of NO3 instead of a WC.
