To add Ammonia or to not?

Hi so here's something that I've been trying to rack my brain over but can't come up with a solution. I have a main tank which has finished cycling and at some point this week I'm going to pick up shrimp for it. Also, I will pick up some of the fish that will go in it, but they are being quaratined for 2-4 weeks first. Whilst the fish are being quarantined do you think I will need to add Ammonia to keep the cycling bacteria alive? Or will that just hurt my shrimp population? Or something in between?
Thanks
BTW: I've seen some say 2 and some say 4 for quaratine periods. 4 would be safer, but I'm not getting wild caught fish so is 2 pretty safe?

no ammonia in tank while shrimp are there. feed them generously with pleco tabs and your bacteria will be fine

Alright thank you for the assurance. I don't have pleco tabs though, I have dedicated shrimp food, but I assume that should be okay.
I knew Ammonia plus shrimp would be bad news, but didn't know how to juggle the two needs. Thanks again!

Shrimp food will be fine. Shrimp make a mess in their own right when they pick through the substrate.
