Do EI dosing solutions need to be mixed or shaken occasionally?

Hello,

I've made an automatic dosing system. It will be using typical EI dosing solutions (macro and micro). I'm wondering if I need to add a mechanism to keep these solutions from precipitating or becoming separated. I will be making relatively large volumes of solutions compared to my tank size, so they will last a long time before I make new solutions.

I'll probably follow this guide to making the solution: James' Planted Tank - Estimative Index Explained

Thanks for any help!

As long as the solutions are not too concentrated, or the area you are storing them in does not get too cold, you should not have any problems with precipitation.

Still, it is a good idea to always agitate the liquid before dosing.
