Individual Nutrient Roles in Plant Growth?
I'm looking to learn how aquatic plants use the nutrients that we dose into our tanks. Can someone explain this or point me in a direction where I can learn what NPK and micros are used for in healthy plant growth?
The reason that I'm interested is because I often read someone who has a nutrient deficiency, they fix that deficiency, and another deficiency issue pops up with a different nutrient. Let's say you have a potassium deficiency in your tank and you increase your potassium dosing. You then end up with GSA, which I believe is a phosphate deficiency. In this scenario, your plants basically became "hungry" for more phosphates. I'd like to understand the mechanism behind that.
