Some sort of deficiency

Hello all,

I believe I am experiencing some kind of deficiency on my Rotala sp. Green var. Narrow Leaf. There are brown spots in some of the leaves...

Here are my tank parameters followed by a picture:

Tank: 20H

Lighting: 48W T5HO 8 hrs a day

Filter: Eheim 2215

Heater: In Line 200W at 76-78

CO2: Pressurized with drop checker reading somewhere between green and yellow.

Fertz: PFertz N,K, Micro

Substrate: Eco Complete + ADA Multi Bottom

Any ideas anyone??

That tank has very high light intensity with that light. So you need to be sure you are supplying non-limiting nutrients and very good CO2, consistent from day to day, with good water circulation, and some water surface ripple. That might keep you from experiencing algae problems. But, the best thing you can do is raise the light to about 24 inches from the substrate, to lower the intensity considerably. And, you don't mention phosphates in your dosing - the plants will not grow at all well without phosphates.
