Topping off with distilled (store bought) water?

After a bit of reading, I know that using, exclusively, distilled water water is bad for fish, but i have a very high GH (11 drops using API drop kit) and was thinking about topping off with dechlorinated distilled water instead of dechlorinated tap water.

Is there any reason not to do this? I don't have a tds meter so I can't tell you what that is, but all of my ammonia cycle levels are typically 0 and my KH is 7 drops and GH is 11.

Thank you!

Bump: Also, anyone familiar with MoonCity TDS-3 TDS Meter? Found it on Amazon for $5.99 with great reviews

Nothing wrong with distilled or RO water for softwater fish...my RO system is hooked right into my big tank. Depends on the fish.

Also fine to do top offs with it, and it'll help your tds stay similar. The cheapy pens are fine for tds (less so for ph). I wouldn't use store bought water without one, since I've heard plenty of stories when badly maintained machines have killed fish.

That last part scared me. How can I make sure the water is ok? Currently I only have about 30 RCS, a bristlenose and kuhli loachs

Check tds of each batch, should be <10. You could test the big three if really paranoid, but tds is easy.

What about copper? Any reason to be concerned?

Newbie here and just curious, if RO or distilled water is used to add, tds and GH should be dropped as there is no mineral inside RO or di water??

That's my goal. I want to minimalize water changes as much as possible
