So..... When I did my WC yesterday, I forgot to use that water to fill my pulcher "growing tank". I normally do a 60% WC every week. So my fish are used to the constant "new tap water" and the parameters are always the same. That being said, I filled a 20g tank today with tap water and used Prime to condition it. My baby Pulchers are starting to get big enough to "stray" from the parents. I want to siphon them out as soon as I can while they are still in a "school".
So, my question is, how long does prime take to work? Should I Wait until tomorrow to suck the babies out? Can I do it tonight? Should I add a tiny amount of ferts to also match the parameters of the main tank? Or..... should I wait for next Sundays WC to refill the grow tank......?
