affect of chelators on fish?

Does the use EDTA or DPTA affect fish or other inhabitants of the tank?
I am trying to decide between Tropca Plant grow and CSM+B in my tank and just curious which might -
1. have the least impact on fish, snails, and shrimp (if any)
2. be most beneficial to plants

This is the link that made me curious but not sure if I understand it completely-

Did you look at the concentrations listed there?

Salt is deadly, so is fish food, if..........you add enough.
