First time dry doser - questions

I am finally going to start dosing my tank, and I've gotten my shipment from aquariumfertilizer.com. I ordered CSM+B, K2S04, and KN03. I've pretty much figured out how to mix and prepare the solutions using Chuck Gadds calculator, but I do have a few questions.

- I'm mixing into 250ml water, 6 grams for the 29 and 3 grams for the 10. That should give me about 20ppm of K2S04 and KN03. How many drops per gallon of this concentration should I administer?

- How long will the mixture last? Do I need to refrigerate or store it any special way?

- How much trace (CSM+B) should I dose? I can't find a good recipe for it so I'm not sure how to mix/dose it yet.

Your help is very much appreciated! =)

6 grams of what? Your post doesn't have all the data...

I couldn't figure out the calculator.. It was a bit confusing..

I was a bit concerned of adding too much ferts and not having it dissolve in my solution, and didn't want it to potentially go bad before I was done with it all.

I just standardized on a 2 liter as my dosing container doing 3 ounce doses. A 2 liter has 22 three ounce doses. ( 2 liter / 3 ounces = 22). I recommend doing something similar. You give your big tank 3 ounces, your small tank 1 ounce. blam.

Just times all the daily doses by 22. Looking at the pink card that came with the ferts, for 20-40 gallons it says 1/4 teaspoon KNo3. So do 22 x 1/4 teaspoon, and so on...

Add these to a 2 liter.
5.5 tsp KNO3
2.75 tsp K2SO4
I think 2 tablespoons CSM+B

I'm just keeping my ferts in the fridge for now... I'm new to it, so I haven't had a batch long enough for it to go bad...

If anything, the macronutrients will not tend to grow mold, and will last a long time, if stored properly. More likely, the micronutrients will develop mold. The best way to prevent this is either to make small batches so that you use all of it before it molds, or to simply store it in the fridge. Tom Barr also mentioned that you can add hydrochloric acid or citric acid will work (see below) to prevent mold formation.

Muritic acid(sold in pool supply as acid shock), I think is about 20-25% HCL, so 1 ml of that is close and should do the trick, note, you do not need much and it is cheap.
