Question dosing liquid fertz right after WC

i was just wondering if its good to dose liquid fertz right after a water change.because the decloranator says it removes heavy metals like zinc, iron etc.etc.so is it ok to dose right after a WC or should you wait a day or two after WC.thanks

I usually use my WC day as a rest day for Ferts. But I use GH booster after a WC. And the declorinator can neutralize the ferts, and not have enough for the chlorine.

How would a dechlorinator neatralize ferts .. ? It doesn't all it does is create 'reduction' where it converts chlorine into chloride, breaks the bond in the chloramine molecule, plus bonds ammonia into heavy versions that are non-toxic to fish (yea that's a simplification).

It doesn't do anything noticeable to the ferts just like a UV lamp doesn't do anything to ferts.

Well prime for example will detoxifies Nitrate, which is a fertilizer. I guess it depends on what dechlorinators you use. Im not sure of any that removes iron as the op mentioned.

Prime detoxifies free standing nitrate not bound ferts like Potassium Nitrate. Prime's active life span is to short to break something that big down effectively.

But doesnt Potassium nitrate break up into its cation and anion form as soon as its dissolved in water?

I'll always dose right after WC. I don't think there would be any problems/conflicts with the dechlorinator.
