What and where to get it is the easy part, the basics are:

KN03
KH2P04
K2SO4
Trace (CSM+B)

Optional but good stuff:
GH booster (only used after a large WC's)
Iron Chelate 10% (if you need extra iron for finicky plants)

Where to get it:

1.) GreenleafAquariums
2.) AquariumFertilizer
3.) Rex Grigg

As for the autodoser, that's not my area but I know the DIY section has a few projects like that.

Do some reading on the EI method of dosing. It will give you the best growth for minimal expense and hassle. The dry ferts and optional stuff mentioned by bradac56 are right on target. What kinda plants are you looking at?

off topic but curious: How are you monitoring your tank's co2? Has your ph been dropping?

With that much light 2 bbs of CO2 isn't going to be nearly enough for that size tank. I suspect it will take at least twice that bubble rate.

You should be seeking a lot more plants if you only have a couple of stem plants. If you can do it, starting the carpet plants with the dry start method would work best. If you can't do that, get a lot of stem plants and plan to get rid of some of them as the carpet plants start spreading out.

Please cite your sources.

There is no ban, as far as I am aware. I was able to purchase it recently.

Indeed, it is. BC has one of the stricter chemical control laws (kind of like California and Texas).

Unfortunately, I haven't seen any KNO3 sold at the grocery store.
