excel+moss?

anyone ever use excel when growing taiwan moss above the water line?

I don't want to melt it, i have heard some moss/excel horror stories...

its been growing steady without ferts, but I would really like more growth...

I used excel in my tank with Taiwan moss, no problems at all. But my moss was not above water level, I don't see why you would have a problem if it's above the water level... You dosing it into the water not pouring it on top of the moss.

yea, but i have a spray bar hitting the moss... im gonna try it and see what happens...

Oh I see. But then if you dose it in the tank away from the filter it should disolve into the water before it will get to the spray bar so IMO you will be fine. I spot treated my moss with excel in the tank and haven't noticed any problems.
