Has anyone used API stress zyme to kickstart a new tank?

I know I could just wait for the cycle to complete but I'm just wondering if these things really work.

I would have opted for Seachem Stability but they are overpriced in the local shops and I somewhat need it today.

thank you

Tank: 48in(H)x18in(W)x28in(H) | filtration: 2x2000LPH canister | substrate: Up-Aqua Aqua Soil | fertilizer: EI+pressurized CO2 | light: 2x54W T5HO+2x150W halide+2x moonlight

I read on these forums that the bacteria found in Stress Zyme are not aquatic, so they do not thrive and establish the way bacteria cultures in other starters would. Seachem Stability is a bit pricey, but it's probably better suited to the job than Stress Zyme.

I would save the money. You would do better to buy a submersed plant from the fish store.
