co2, ph problem?

so as i posted before i have a 250 gallon tank 6x t5 ho 58watt light and co2. my tank is divided , I'm only planting on one side . lights and co2 are on one side. my tank divider has no flow . but my canister filter is sucking from the co2 side and exiting the no planted side.

so i had this going for one day and woke up this morning and turned it on (don't have timer yet). and let it run an hour then checked the pH. this is where i freaked out on one side i got a reading of 7.6 dark blue. then i think i took my air stone and placed it in the exit flow of the canister filter to cause air in the side then i checked the pH again on the exit side and got a reading of 6.0 .. I'm kind of lost and my drop checker isn't working hasn't changed colors etc.. and i have no hard water test. any help or if you need more info please ask im lost and dont understand yet

The CO2 will cause your ph to drop but it won't change the water hardness.

thanks.........Peter
