Aquaticmagic root tabs?

Aquaticmagic Monster tablets has anyone tried them?

I'm currently running a 6g low tech setup (my first one), and have about four plants (two crypts, couple small val, and an anubias nana), and three platties and a guppy. Don't really know what the lighting "strength" is, but its just the stock lighting (Fluval Edge) with two Ikea LED's on either side of center to give light to the outside edge.

Just wondering if anyone has tried these tabs. I just like alternatives and looking for opinions on these. I am currently using the ones the lfs sold me when I bought the plants (Sera florenette A). These seem to break apart easily and I find it hard to get them down deep into my gravel without them falling apart. They also say to dose once a week with them, which seems a bit much. The Aquaticmagic ones say replace once every six months...seems easier to me...

For that price I'd just get the Seachem Flourish tabs locally it's close enough to the same thing for your purposes. Keep in mind your doing a low-tech tank so your fert and C02 requirements are a lot less than a med/hi-tech tank that has more light.

Another alternative that I use over root tabs is dosing GH Booster after every water change, in a low-tech tank that gives just about everything but carbon which you can use Excel once every two weeks to take care of. That way you won't have to record when you need to change the root tabs on each tank.
