What do i need?

Setting up a 100 gallon tank and going planted. Atm i have a rena xp3 for filtration. 2 powerheads (one will be for my diy co2 dispersement). 48" t5HO lighting with 2 54w bulbs. The light fixture that came with the tank, one of the cheaper type that come with most tanks. It does have 3 spots for bulbs though and i only have 2 in atm. I plan on putting my lights on a timer, how long though? And i also have no clue about ferts and whatnot. Any help on what/how much/ and when would be greatly appreciated. And any other tips would be welcomed too.

For a tank that big it would be easier to dose dry fertz and it would save a ton of money plus you can add whatever you want ot the base ferts.

The basics are:

KN03 (Potassium Nitrate)
KH2P04 (Mono Potassium Phosphate)
K2SO4 (Potassium Sulfate)
Trace (CSM+B or better known as Micro's)

Optional but good stuff:
GH booster (only used after a large WC)
Iron Chelate 10% (if you need extra iron for finicky plants)

A good site to get them is Greenleafaquariums

~

I would start the timer at 8 hours and see how that works.

Great, thanks so much for the reply! I am also going to be using a pressurized Co2 system now and not a diy, got a good deal on a regulator lol. Thanks again for the info!

Look for Victor, Concoa, Matheson and Harris dual stage regulators in the 310/320 models as long as there cheap. I just bought a good Matheson for $39.00 shipped two nights ago but $55 without shipping is still a killer price.

I've got a couple of e-bay listings I'll PM you because the forum cops will knee cap me if I list them.
