Need help converting to dry ferts?

I want to convert to using dry ferts just for the cost break. I wanted to know the "what to dose" and "when to dose it" basics. I found on this site an excel sheet that does the calculations on how much Fluorish Products to add and when to dose them based on the size of the tank, and it has work very well. But I can't find anything like that for dry ferts. I also don't know which site to buy the dry ferts from, I was thinking GLA, but what do i know. Thanks for all the help, this has been an awesome learning experience reading this site so far.

Your answers for dosing and sources can be found in the stickied thread "Dosing Regimes" at the top of the Fertilizers and Water Parameters subforum.

So, if i read that correctly and figured what I would need for a 120gallon tank this is what I get,

120 gallon
50% water change weekly
1 Tsp – KN03 3x a week
Tsp – KH2P04 3x a week
25ml or 5/16Tsp – Trace 3x a week
Optional
8ml – Fe/Iron 3x a week

Please tell me if this is correct? Also, I didn't quite get this, is Plantex csm+b the same as trace (like Fluorish Trace)?

quenton on barrreport.com wrote an desktop EI calculator that you can download a few years back. It is called the Nutri Calc. It is quite handy.

The Excel calculator that you mentioned if fully customizable. You can change it to use any dosing product and the dosing rate that you desire. If you are familiar with Excel 2003, you can modify it. You can use Excel's unhide feature to see the formulas and make adjustments or changes.

I thought that you had used it or am I missing something?

Anyway, you need Office Excel 2003 or compatible.

No, the Excel sheet I found was designed for Fourish products, and I found it in a thread on this forum.

This will tell you how much (teaspoons or grams) of what product (lots to choose from) will add how much of all the macros and some micros to your tank. Just below where the answer comes out are more numbers. This is the target range for each nutrient. If the amount you think does not hit the target range, then try a different amount.
