Between a Lamotte kit and the Hanna checkers, I can cover testing for Nitrate, Phosphate, and Iron pretty accurately and reliably.
The recent threads about toxicity and my own current experience with poor growth have made me wish there was a cost effective way to test aquarium water for the other key nutrients. I would like to see results for Potassium, Ca and Mg individually (not just GH) and to effectively rule out (or in) toxic levels of micros for things like Cu, Zn, etc.
I've searched for aquarium water testing services, but the only places I've found that cover these parameters seem to be for reefers and say results would be inaccurate for freshwater.
Anyone know of a service that would check freshwater aquarium samples for some of these less easy to self-test parameters?
