Mn-EDTA or MnSO4

I always used Mn-EDTA, with good results, but I'm wondering if MnSO4 is stable enough in most planted tank conditions. And what conditions would deteriorate the MnSO4, in a planted tank and in a stock solution with all the other elements. There is tons of info on Mn in soil, but can't find a lot of useful info about Mn's behaviour in water.
In soil Mn-EDTA is a lot less accessible to roots than MnSO4, but is this also the case for foliar uptake?
Any info/experience would be useful!
