Air pump on Distilled water

If in theory pure distilled water is 7.0 ph, could I simply just use an air pump to degas any Co2 that might be absorbed that was making the water more acidic? Gonna be doing a water change and have a few gallons sitting around that I want to use up. I trying to get it around 7.0 ph and this is a one time deal, will be getting a test kit by next water change.

No, because the small amount of CO2 that is in the water at equilibrium with the atmosphere will drive the pH to around 5.65 pH. And you cannot remove this small amount of CO2 with an air pump because you use atmospheric air.

To raise the pH you will need to increase alkalinity slightly.
