are plants(glosso) sensitive to temperature swings

trying to grow healthy glosso carpet in a tank with no heater. there will be no fish in the tank just plants. i live in los angeles and temp does change drastically every season and ive seen my tank water go up to 90F in a couple of days during summers(though there are alot of factors to consider). my question is, would plants(glosso in particular) in a non heater controlled tank tolerate tempt swings as the season changes(in southern california...yes people, the weather isnt perfect all year round lol)

plants are pretty resilient to weather and will tolerate most extremes for short periods...so, it will definitely survive...but not sure if it will thrive

Did a 30%water change on a 120 gal the other day & the water I filled with was cold enough to kill the Polygonum S paulo that had just been trimmed within minutes it turned it black. also had mowed my glosso foreground & the incoming frigid water which was going directly on the Glosso has not fazed it!! Glosso looks great ...Poor poor Poly S Paulo

Algae Architect....Yes! I have Algae, but it's all very tasteful...
