Takashi Amano has planted inspiration in many people around the world to grow beautiul under-water worlds of their own, myself included, and his creativity will be greatly missed. My condolences go out for the Amano family.

Indeed..

The man was a planted aquarist legend. I loved his Nature aquarium tanks.. so cool and really creative.

Sad to see him go already.

RIP, Takashi.

I was very saddened to hear about T. Amano passing. He is without a doubt the reason I got into the hobby. Still remember opening one of his books and being so inspired to create.

So sad. I was just watching Youtube of the latest largest planted tank project he finished this year in Portugal. Amano was being his Bossy self as always in the video...LOL... I can't believe he's gone now.

We just lost Bruce Lee of Planted tanks. He got me interested in the hobby. Prior to the master, planted tanks were pretty ugly...

Rest in Peace Boss!

RIP Takashi! I was so sad when I originally heard about it last year. He really elevated the hobby to the level of art!
