Hi,

So I have been using batches of 25 liters of RODI water remineralised with Seachem Equilibrium and a mix of acid & alkaline buffers,

If I wanted to start using 25% conditioned tap water and 75% RODI water, would I still need to remineralise the RODI water at a ratio for 75% or the full 100% as per normal for the batch of 25 liters?

Or, do I just add the 25% of the conditioned tap water without adding anything to the RODI water?

Please help,

First of all, don't use acid and alkaline buffers, they do nothing useful but can do harm. Second, you have a very, very strange wish - instead of controlling 100% of your water quality, you want to go 75% in (so, invest pretty much the same amount of effort) and still leave 25% to pure dumb luck? This really doesn't make much sense... Third, one is remineralizing the water to reach a particular desired water composition, so without knowing what are you actually trying to achieve (what KH/GH) and what are the parameters of your tap water it is impossible to answer your question.

This would be my choice.

You've not really explained the situation here.

What is in your tap water?

What are you trying to achieve?

Maybe start a new thread and explain instead of tagging on to the end of this old one.
