Video: New low-tech 55 gallon

Hi everyone,

Tank has cycled and I have finally all the fish:

- 6 Dwarf Rainbowfish (Melanotaenia maccullochi "Starche Creek")
- 6 Odessa Barbs (Pethia padamya)
- 6 Corydoras Julii
- 5 Panda Garras (Garra flavatra)

Here is a video of the tank made with my crappy iPhone camera:

The rainbowfish have been in the tank for less than 48 hours and are still adapting. But some males are already showing some colors. They are juveniles (as the panda garras) and should get more color as they grow.

You can find more info about setup and plants in the video's description.

Very pretty setup. It will be even nicer as the plants fill in a bit. I like your design of denser planting to one side and lots of swimming room to showcase the fish. I also have juvenile rainbows (praecox), and it is exciting to see them begin to color up.

Nice video--thanks.

Thank you! I hope fish and plants will do well over time. Do you have a thread showcasing your rainbows and your tank?

Really like the scaping, the placement of the stones and plants, very natural looking. Oh and love the music in the video... smooth jazz.

Thank you. I am glad you think the scaping looks natural. The music was among the options given by YouTube
