Question on Cycling Outdoor Tub

Hey all,
I’ve decided to set up a couple 20 gallon tubs outside to breed some CPDs and was planning on using substrate from my outdoor betta tub to seed the new ones in hopes of speeding up the cycle time. I also want to grow plants and used old aquasoil with mixed with organic earthworm castings to add nutrients and a cap of pool filter sand to keep the earthworm castings down. I expect the earthworm castings to cause a pretty large ammonia spike, should I wait a few days before adding the cycled substrate or should I add it right away?

Thank you for your time,
Jerry
