Lights for my aquariums

I need few opinions/advice, I have two tanks

10 gallon tank from topfin

Plants: dying java fern, and recently added amazon sword, rosette sword, moss balls and moneywort.

Fish: 1 Betta, 1 mystery snail and soon to be added, celestial pearl danios

Light sucks on this, I was thinking

https://www.petsmart.com/fish/heatin...ml?cgid=300120, if this hood doesn't work (since hinge in middle, might stop some light) then I would get a acrylic and cut it as per my needs

better light like NICREW BrightLED or SkyLED

20 gallon high Marina tank

Plants: Apongetons which are thriving, moss balls, anubias and moneywort.

Fish: Paradise gourami, 2 white cloud mountain minnows (4 coming soon), 2 Panda corys (6 coming soon) and 4 otocinclus

Stock lights seems okay on this, since plants are not dying. But should I still upgrade?

Aponogeton ulvaceus like those store growth energy from previous growth cycle so they do good 1st year and then then sort of go dormant. Next year growth will be determined by much light and nutrients you give this year to store up. Way to big a plant for that tank. I’ve had a couple of those completely fill up a 65breeder.

If you want modest light this nicrew should grow all those nicely.

I’d also get a dimmer so you can adjust it.

On glass top you should never completely seal up a aquarium like that, aquarium need to breath for proper gas exchange. I’d just use center glass and leave off the front door and back flap.
