120 Gallon Tank Lighting

Hello,

Switching back from reef tanks and would love some advice. I'm going to have discuss and wanted to run some low-moderate lights. I have T5's but I wouldn't mind switching to LED. If I ran Kessils would I need 360s or could I get by with 160s? What lights will show off the fish and provide adequate lighting?

Thanks for taking time to read!

What do you consider as a light budget?
Top-ish end "moderate light" LED wou;d be 3 AI Prime freshwaters at $200 each.
Equiv to about a 4 bulb t5,

I wouldn't want to break a grand. I have an Apex system running on the tank currently if it helps.

Not really..

Only Apex compatible fw LED I know of is Kessil.
There may be others..

"Possibly" some old Radion's but not anything new. Ecotech and Neptune never really played well together AFAICT and especially w/ the

new freshwater ones. Last I looked there was no updated interface that showed the fw channels..
Besides 3 Radion freshwater gen 4's would easily break the grand budget..

APEX is not my forte so just consider this something to research if it is critical and don't assume fw is treated the same as sw..
I believe one can adapt some lights other than DIY arrays but that is a bit more than most want to do.

2x ONF Flat One+ in 60cm hanging version and call it a day.

Can also go with Chihiros Vivid 2 but build quality and app is not as good as ONF.
