I am about to pull the trigger on an Aquatic Life 61 hybrid that takes 80W bulbs, and all I can find are bulbs suitable for reef tanks. Anyone know where I can find ones suitable for freshwater planted tanks this long?

I just found them! Marine and Reef. It also had my fixture for $20 less... now Im second guessing myself... do I want any blue bulbs in a 4-bulb array for planted freshwater tank? (I will have CO2 running...)

How big is the tank dimensions wise? You should look at the t5 combo master thread for ideas on bulb combos. Something like 2 white, 1 red, and one actinic or blue plus which is not super blue is a start.

Suggest the Geisseman line.
Both the Super Flora (red centric) and the Tropic bulbs have very good spectrums for freshwater..

60" bulbs are somewhat of a dead end in regards to fw AFAICT.

Well compared to other sizes.. well 24 and 48"..

There are cheap warm whites and cool whites available though and reefers are keeping the "blue" line alive..

Since it's a hybrid what exactly are your plans for the led side.. if any?

Only other one I found was Dennerle Color Plus which a true red bulb but will be tricky to get in the US. I guess 80W T5 is dead it seems which makes sense since it's been dead in hydroponics for years.
