Help With Lighting for 24" 180G w/ Fluval 3.0?

Purchased 2 36" Planted 3.0 lights and am trying to figure out my lighting schedule. Attached are photos, please give me any advice needed! Not sure if it is on too long and I should maybe give the light a nap mid day... the second light is our Aquasky we have on our 45gal. Both are brand new tanks, not even cycled yet. Just filled with water and running the past week.

We plan on low light plants. We have a Coralife 12x Turbotwist UV sterilizer to aid with algae in case it becomes a problem, no co2 system (but may venture into it.) Fluorite substrate topped with sand. Will be dosing Flourish + Trace or possibly try Aquarium Co-Op's Easy Green.

That does not look like the Fluval Plant 3.0 spectrum colors.

Style: Organic soil (dirt), sand, gravel, plants, moss, algae, biofilm, mulm, snails, shrimp, small fish
Tech: Fluval Plant 3.0 Nano, Top Fin MF10, Tunze 3161, Eheim Skim 350, Neptune Apex EL

Hi @K8xp,

We have a thread where we are sharing some Fluval programs:

https://www.plantedtank.net/forums/1...-app-help.html

It does look like a long photoperiod, so you could consider a siesta or two if you are trying to stretch your viewing time. You get ten points to play with!

Cheers

Perfect! I did in fact change it to mimic the exact schedule we will have once we have fish. Decided it was best to just set it how it should and not mess with the times often. Still unsure if I have the correct intensity of each color though. Below is what I came up with.

I am glad you replied. I have been looking forward to comparing siesta lighting schedules.

Please share some videos and/or photos!

Now looking at fertilizer. Looking at NilocG. I don't want to dose too much so chose root tabs, general NPK plus iron pack. Is this a good plan?
