I desperately need lights soon for this tank.

It's 50 gallons and what I'm looking for is a cheap light that can go over the top, I don't want a messy bunch of lamp light sitting around the tank, any ideas?

Then the 120cm one is an option..

Chihiros is fine..
100W 5000 lumens built in step dimmer..
Now not exactly cheap..

$70
Is there any other options? Like something I might be able to get at a warehouse? Similar to like a lamp? or something that I don't have to order online and is similar?

@Shrubbery Hey Shrubbery, could you possibly help me with this?

What's your goal for the tank? What kind of plants? CO2? No CO2?

What's your ideal budget and what country are you in (if you care to share)?

If you want to go low light, you could get some screw-in LEDs and a few clamp light domes from a hardware/big box store and suspend them over the tank. Probably about US$30 total. But knowing more about what you envision will help people make better recommendations.

I don't remember what kind of plants I have, it's definitely low light though. In my post here: https://www.plantedtank.net/forums/100-low-tech-forum/1295495-walstad-tank-issues.html I have pictures where I have plants. Right now I only have three species of plants that I think are best because so far they have turned out great. I don't remember their names but one is definitely water wasteria, then there's this long stalk one that has overtaken my other take, and then there's one more but there's only one plant and it's struggling to compete against the others it seems so I only have 2 species basically.

Low light is what I'm after. My goal is to start breeding Betta's. The tank in my first thread is going to be for breeding, and the large 50 gal will be for the off spring. I am aiming for a as much as possible natural heavily planted tank. The wood I'm adding in has Java Moss and Anubius as well as a bit of Java fern.

I live in AUS. Could you link some images of what you're talking about, I am a little confused. Thanks for your repsonse!

P.S: My budget is low, I'm trying to go as cheap as possible without going too cheap. Having a lamp with the correct watts really did my main 13 gal tank well.

This is the clamp light I'm talking about. If that link doesn't work, here's a direct link to the image.

I'll try to embed it here:

Easy to remove the clamp and suspend a few of them above a tank. Back/exterior of them can be spray painted in nearly any color or finish you desire to match your decor. Come in several sizes, will range in price from AUS$8-AUS$15 depending upon size and other factors.

There are plenty of screw-in LED bulbs on the market in Australia. Just have to get something in the neighborhood of 6500K when it comes to light color/color temperature.
