Help looking for an LED light for a 5 gallon that is very close to 14 inches long

There are a lot of choices out there and I'm not sure how to filter all of them out. I know I'd like the light intensity to be high for more options of what I will be able to grow. And one that extends the full length of the tank is appealing as well. On a budget but willing to spend a little less than 100 if it's worth it. Open to DIY options.

Might I suggest an adjustable table lamp? You can buy some daylight flood lights to put into the lamp. Fairly inexpensive.

Even a nicrew led will put out 72par at 12”, 5gal once you put gravel in your only dealing with about 9” depth. Unless your going with demanding plant and real CO2 it will be fine.

If it were me, I'd go with the Nicrew unit (there are a few options on Amazon) or a nice desk lamp. Nicrew is also super-cheap for what you get.

Another affordable option is an Asta 20 - it's about $40 on Amazon, has a built-in dimmer switch and is on an adjustable gooseneck.

Is your tank rimless or something else? That could help people come up with recommendations. Something else you can do is search out journals created by people with the same tank you have. See what they're using for lighting.

If you're running high light, you'll also need ferts and CO2 to go along with it. If you're not? You'll run into immediate problems.
