Why wouldn't the Fluval SEA marine & reef 2.0 work?

So I know the Fluval Sea is geared towards reef tanks but I have an old one and I'm curious to know why it wouldn't work?
I know the color temperature is way off @ 25K, but the PAR is 55 @ 18" and it is pushing 1,950 Lumens.

IF this wouldnt work, would it hurt to get the Fluval fresh & plant 2.0 and run them together? TIA guys.

It will work just fine w 2 possible issues.
1)color is horrible...
2) Plants may grow a bit "stunted". Sometimes excess blue w/ little red causes very compact growth.

Guess if I was to go expensive supplementing the Current planted plus pro is arguably better. Fluval is 2 channel w a base temp of 7500k.
Pro you can adjust the color temp. Easier to balance out the stark blue/white.

Ok, man thank you. I've noticed that the lumens are a lot lower than what I thought was good. The fresh & plant has 3300L compared to that 1930L on the SEA.

If you already have the Fluval Sea, by all means give it a try, taking into account the items mentioned by @jeffkrol. If you don't have the fixture yet, consider something else that is geared toward planted tanks.
