Substrate
|
I've decided to go with CaribSea's Eco-complete. I went with this due to the simplicity of use (since I am a newbie to this) and I've read a ton of good reviews.

Parameters
|
Well I'm shooting for the normal tropical freshwater parameters. Temperature of around 76 degrees farenhiet, a pH of 6.5-7.5, and a hardness of <10 dGH but no higher than <20.

Fertilization
|
I've not yet decided on fertilizers and other nutrient supplements.

Plants
|
I will start out with hardier species such as hygros, swords, water sprites, and some java moss or ferns. Then after I get the hang of it all I'll add in some others

Inhabitants

I'm still looking into this subject, but I'm thinking a red tailshark, an angelfish, a gourami or three (not sure yet on the type), a mixture of tetras, and an algae eater or pleco of some sort. I've thot about some shimp and snails but I'm not sure which would be best.
