hey all,
First post, I picked up 2 x 10G tanks for $10 last week on craigslist. I live in North Seattle, and I am just getting back into the hobby after about 4 years off. I am cycling one of these tanks now, and constructing an inexpensive DIY hood from wood scraps. Thinking about using four incandecent bulbs (would love to hear recomendations though). My next DIY project will be a Co2 reactor, but I will go the cheap/messy route with a 2 liter bottle and an bell reactor. My last tank was a heavily planted 50 Gallon tank with Sword, Anubias, Java Moss, Java Fern, but I needed to sell that tank for a long distance move. Cheers, Dillon |

Dillon,
If you go with the incandescent route Wally World has some excellent screw in type flourescent 10 watt bulbs in the fish section for five bucks. I use them in my nanos with success. The kelvin rating is not listed on the package or the bulb itself but it is a good clean white light. And like I said grows plants well. Chris
