Oye, Seattle, right by the 'needle. I have a recently purchased used acrylic 29gl that I'm growing water wisteria, java moss and some kind of sword in, with 7 really happy otocinclus and 3 male dwarf gouramis who like to bicker over who exactly gets to sit under the wisteria and when.

Maple Valley (near Issaquah)
I have a 90 gallon tank that sprung a leak, requiring removal of everything, but a great chance to do a substrate replacement! The plants that seem to be surviving are the java fern (of course. Does anything kill that?) and the crypts. No, I don't know what kind of crypts they are. This tank has CO2.
I also have a 20 gallon with lots and lots and lots of java fern, no CO2.
A 10 gallon with blue-green algae and dwarf puffers
A 55 gallon with plastic plants and crazy plant eating Tinfoil barbs and a pictus cat.

the discus, whatcha looking for, theres a breeder in woodinville i bought through once, not so great lookin tanks, but he let me dig around and i got some niiice juvies for like 20bucks a pop. had 50 strains or so..

liems has nice malay style strains for really cheap, just be prepared to nurse them and not buy all at once, pick 1-2 nice ones and wait. Kings discus, prolly the nicest discus young adult can get in seattle.. expensive though, if you have game haggle.. fish is all about haggle with the asians haggle and listen, you will end up with nice fish.. theres a place on rainier.. forget what its called, often has nice discus. bout midway between rainier beach and renton.. that light right after the renton airport.. ehhhh.. you gotta shop wheel and deal if you want niiiice fish for gooood price .... sometimes has good lookin wild discus.. im tired..
