There is a pretty amazing variety of plants in that Exotic Angel line. They have really expanded the number of readily available houseplants.

Their website still needs some work though. I couldn't get the "store finder" tab to work at all. So, I know that Target has their plants, but I can't find out yet who else nearby does. I have their website bookmarked now, just to be able to look at the pictures and daydream about some of those plants!

Lowes and Homedepot both carry them here. Occassionally, so does Walmart. That is an amazing plant you linked. I like the care information they give on the site. I've had this website linked for years, it's a great reference when buying a plant for someone who over/underwaters.

How can you tell if a plant would work in a riparium?

Check to see where its native habitats are. Typically plants that live in bogs or marshes are good candidates. Also, plants that like or require moist soil or high humidity are potential winners.

You might want to take a look at plants that are recommended for hydroponics as well.

With the cost of terrestrial plants being so cheap compared to aquatic ones, its not too hard on the wallet to go to a local nursery and pick out a couple small plants that catch your eye.

There are also many common aquarium plants that will grow well in a riparium in their emersed forms...
  • Cryptocoryne sp.
  • Anubias sp.
  • Microsorum sp.
  • Bolbitis sp.
  • Bacopa sp.
  • Hygrophila sp.
  • Echinodorus sp.
  • Limnophila sp.
  • Ludwigia sp.
  • ...and so on

Jake, Just hit me up whenever you are ready to get that thing going. We should be able to look for warmer weather for shipping plants.
