I got some little ficuses, and took out most of the moss and all of the petite. I'm going more for the jungle floor look now, I'm going to get some oak leafs out of my yard and boil them/ add them to my tank. One of the bulbs burned out in the fixture, so I only have 65 watts now I'll need to buy another bulb to get faster growth. I'll try and get a picture up soon.

i have extra divisions of a bunch of good vivarium stuff, including miniature pleurothallid type orchids, Dischidia and several not-so-common ferns.

send me a PM if you might ever be interested in any of this material.

and sorry if i missed it...where did you get that background? i really like it.

I love it. I think it's gonna be the best viv you've ever made, once mature. I truly prefer these really natural vivs to the less-natural, more garden-like terrariums. I'd see some small broms and small schefflera (a large bonsai or a small plant) in there, that would truly enhance the jungle feel. Any planned fauna?
This tank could house cool day geckos or anoles, mayne tree frogs...

Thanks for the compliment. I was going to get some broms, but never got around to it. I'm still not sure about animals.

i really like those fig trees. i would be inclined against using Neoregelia (the really popular broms for vivs) in there because they would be too visually overpowering. i think that better choices for that back wall would be small-leaved, green plants such miniature ferns, Peperomia and mosses.

looks great. id really suggest a fern though, they are amazing plants. its really cool to see the fronds uncurl too. heart ferns are cool looking, and hardy; but theres this fern i got in costa rica, and it is THRIVING in my exo terra. its grewing 3 new leaves at the same time, and i see a new tiny fern popping up from a spore (not sure which one yet, but by the amount of fuzz, its probably the costa rican).
