Default 29 gallon Leuc Viv (mini construction journal)

The viv pics on Dendroboard.com got my interest going in PDf's sometime last summer and when i broke down my 29 G aquarium i knew i just had to build a Viv.
Here's the 29 before the Viv...

Here's the tank with foam, cork bark and false bottom. I didn't want to loose depth so I used the sprayfoam and sprayed branches out on cardboard, cut them off and siliconed them on.

Then i added the silicone and coco fiber and hydroton pellets...

Here's a pic from December. Substrate is Forest Floor with some charcol and coco fiber mixed in. Topped that off with spagnum moss and oak leaves. Added creeping oak leaf, oxalis, seliginella plana, jewel orchid, christmas moss and a few air palnts.

Two months and a couple of broms later...

One of the four leucs.

Thanks for looking,

Cliner

VERY cool!

I really like the way that's all laid out- very natural.

Thanks for sharing!

Looks awesome. I'd like to do something similar but with a bit more water. It's nice that you show different stages, helps out newbs like me with how to do this kind of stuff

Thanks for the comments. I originally had deeper water, but I lowered it due to the fact that PDF's can drown in shallow water if unable to climb out. I'm working on designing a layout for a 25G paludarium and i'm looking forward to having more of a half and half mix of land and water.
