Mt tanks for auratus, tincs, and other "terrestrial" species were usually a 10, 15, 0r 20 for the pair or trio. Water areas are most certainly not death traps, except for food items. I always have them in my enclosures. Granted, they would be in the corner so I can change the water easily and it doesn't mess with your eye, but most certainly not death traps. Often people think that frogs are dumb animals, but really they still have the instincts as in the wild. They are not going to drown in it, even with fighting with other members of the same species.
