SO spill the beans on how you did the removable background. I've got a 55 gallon I wanna do desert style with. Its got a glass divider on the top of it so its impossible to just great stuff the entire backside from inside the glass.. That and I want to be able to remove it if I want to put fish in it at some time.
Did you just measure and then draw the measurements on card board and spray? What did you use to cut the foam? |

A couple of things:
I hope you aren't planning on having too many frogs in your enclosure. You haven't left much room for them to move around. Do you have a way for the frogs to be able to get out of the pool if they fall in? Looks a little deep to me. Not sure what you are going to need to sustain the plants, but if they require ferts you need to be extremely cautious. Ferts could be lethal to the frogs as they absorb things directly through their skin. The enclosure is very interesting. The only other problem that I could see is the flow from your stream sweeping both frogs and flies into the pool. As long as the frogs can get out then you shouldn't have too much to worry about. The flies on the other hand could die and cause the water to become toxic. Have you done any research on the frogs requirements? Might want to check out this site for flies: http://edsflymeat.com/insects.htm I have used them in the past. Their site is a little cheesy, but they have secure online ordering and good service. If you get Wingless Drosophila melanogaster, you can keep flies forever if you can keep the cultures going. Those things reproduce like wildfire. You would probably need to get some culture materials, etc. but they sell that too. |

get some fruit flies now, and start practicing, use some to practicing making more cultures and use the rest to feed your fish, they make awesome fish food.

Here are some update pics of the terrarium. I added some new plants and took away some plants. I also made some large holes in the back round and filled it up with coco fiber for the plants that are on the back round. I added some rabbit food fern. I also took away some of the carpet plant and added some leaves and some dried moss. I gave the leaves a nice 20 min boil.

I've used great stuff on tanks before, just not in a removable manner. I've always used silicone after it dries and then before the silicone dries I spread bed-a-beast on it and it forms a better barrier and holds the bed-a-beast or coco better and looks more natural, I hate seeing the yellow great stuff foam. Not to mention Great stuff is toxic if it isn't sealed.
