Not a bad boy--just a busy one.

I didn't get a camera for xmas. I wasn't pushing for one too strongly, considering the cost and my lack of camera expertise. I'll try to get my wife to take a full-tank shot tonight. She is much more proficient in its use...

Definitely this weekend though. I have tomorrow off so I'll tend to the tank and try to take some pictures throughout the day. Even if they stink, I'll post them so you can get a general feel for the lay-out.

BTW, the hygro has bloomed even more--many, many little violet flowers. I hope this isn't a once-in-a-blue moon occurrance.

Unacceptable... Kidding!

Darn, I just realized that I lost a post...
I wish this forum would make it so you subscribe to every thread you answer to, and have a separate subscription for ones you started... Or put threads you start on top, followed by threads that you answered after that... then put the rest after that. Arg, Arg, Arg... Two-fold!

Where is Invision Power Board when you need it? Oops, this is phpBB... My bad!

Sorry--its been posted in the photo album forum. The tank has undergone some minor changes in the past month--its getting there, but still has a way to go before I'm happy with it.

The thread can be found here:

I just posted some pictures of a bacoba carolinia flower.

I haven’t seen a built in flash that is ½ as powerful as a good external flash. Also a built in flash can not be focused or aimed which can pose a problem with many shots. Additionally a hot shoe can be used to trigger a remote flash or a tethered flash. Built in flashes have gotten better but they definitely have their limitations.
