Rotala indica looks good with E Stellata, but the colors of the two plants are similar. Cabomba would contrast nicely with E Stellata. Just make sure nothing else shades the E Stellata.

I've got some nice L. repens, R. indica, Hemianthus micranthemoides, and some starter H. zosterifolia and H. difformis. We could meet up at Pet Bazaar and do a deal. Got any cherry shrimp you can spare ?

Brian.

Brian,
I am interested in Hemianthus micranthemoides and the H. zosteifolia. Do you happen to have any star grass??? That is one that I would love to have! I think I may have 5 or so shrimp availible here in a week or so!

Well here is the updated pic with the new stargrass and stelleta!

Well here is the plan....

The star grass that is in the back right of the tank will be the background plant for the enitre back of the tank. I am going to put the E. Stelleta in front of it and have the star grass kinda wrap around it.

The chain swords are going to be the fore ground for all of the tank except infront of the crypt island that is under the drift wood. I would love to find a very small crypt to put there.

Where the hrygro diformis is now, it will some day be star grass and I will put the alternanthera reineckii that is behind the drift wood in a similar style to the E. Stelleta on the other side.

I am searching for a nice plant to add to the mix as a "midground" that will be at the base of the drift wood on the left side. I plant to put it right behind the back of the wood!

wow. It looks SOOO much nicer now, its amazing what some nice fine leaved plants can do to a tank. I just got rid of my big swords, and replaced them with some watersprite and crypt. balanasae, and it looks much better. Awesome tank, soon you'll be ready for discus

i see you have golden angels in the tank, as do i. Today i got 3 german rams, and the color contrast is awesome, makes the tank really alive. Get some rams!

How about anubias as the mid-ground by the drift wood?

The angels are gone, I wasnt really a huge fan of them. I think once everything grows in it is going to be a tetra tank. Comman I know, but still striking when done right!

are you gonna have the discus?
if not, (or in addition), get some apistos/rams, they will not grow much larger than any tetras, and really add colour and flavor to the tank. Looks great

Here is the update...

5 days later and you can see the growth. The star grass and stetella are going nuts now! You can really see how tall the star grass has grown by comparing the two pics and looking at the height compared to the Ehiem intake pipe and suction cups!
