75 gallon make over

This is a 75 gallon aquarium that I have had for a long time. It has mostly housed fish in the past, but now I'm going to transform it to planted. I will start with low light plants and as I upgrade my equipment I'll get higher light plants.

As I get the money I will upgrade the lighting, substrate, and get pressurized co2. For now I'm dosing flourish comp. twice a week, excel twice a week and flourish trace twice a week. I will switch to dry ferts when necessary.

Here are the pics:

When I started

Changing substrate

Finished changing substrate, added a little java moss

Added another piece of driftwood from my 10 gallon and some big java ferns, more java moss, and 3 amazon swords from customdrum.

Rearranged a little and added some elodea from my 10 gallon.

Looking pretty snazzy there Matt. I like the kitty on the lights too. My middle one likes to jump on top of the canopy on my tank and rest up there where's it's warm and high up.

Thanks so much everyone for the nice comments! I'll post some more pics of the wood, plants and fish close up soon.

Thanks for the comments about Mitzie the aquarium cat too! She is a permanent fixture there, that's right where the ballast is for that light, nice and warm. lol
