That wood looks good. I think having some moss growing up out of the water could be sweet looking.

They are tiny, id say none over 1'' their bright red looks nice with a planted green background, i think. I think you could get away with a nice school of like 15-20 in your tank. And maybe you can throw some shrimp in there with them too? I dont know just ideas, good start thought!!

this is my plan for the next two weeks or however soon i get money
1. tomorrow start my paypal bank account
2. order ferts and diffusor from GLA
3. buy one more clamp lamp to equal about 52 watts of 6700k lighting
4. start to buyplants from all you helpful folks
5. and eventually buy some boraras brigattae (boltp777 thank you for suggesting them, and cwinson85 confirming the idea for me.)
this will take some change out of my pocket i believe, time to pick up some hours at the golf course.

I agree with this. Take a look at Ugly Genius's style. Having the wood more centered doesn't necessarily create bad symmetry as long as your wood has an asymmetrical shape. Plus it makes nice negative spaces with the tank borders and makes cleaning the glass easier.

Excited to see how this goes.
