I'm happy about this tank, I'm getting plants cleared out to send to Funkyfish! So...goodbye Red Temple Plant, C. Pontederiifolia, C. 'Unknown', Floating Fern, Rotala Indica, & 10x MTS...a Jungle Val might join them as you all know a 10 is really too small to keep them long term.

Also, those plants are extras. I have some of them in my other tanks.

Ok...so,

Sooo much to update. First off...

R.I.P. 5.5gal - I will miss you as you were a good little tank, but as it turns out, right now, I haven't the space for you. Maybe later down the road.

10 - Washed out [I finished planting the plants in the other tanks...], Disinfected [bleach, then 2x Dechlor. dose], and am refilling letting the plants from the 5.5 float...It's sitting by the 29 again until I can get it's new stand.

Since this tank is going to have 40W [4WPG] of light, I'm going to have some NICE plants in here and hopefully a carpet of Hairgrass...along with the Anubias [adding Otos to take care of those pesky diatoms], Rotala, Crypts, ....etc.

I'll post more here later...but for now, the only inhabitants are Red/Brown Ramshorns, Pond Snails, Malaysian Trumpet Snails, &, Pumpkin the VT betta...

After much thought, I bought a bag of brown gravel and added a few more pounds of cycled/established gravel from the 55 and went through a HUGE bundle of plants and that took about 2 hours! I planted most in here and threw the rest in the 55...

Well,

THE PLANTS ARE PEARLING!!

IDK what all I have...but a guess:
Blyxa Japonica
H.C. or H.M.
Rotala Indica
Parrot's Feather???
Ludwigia Repens
Asian Ambulia
Bacopa Carolina
Water Sprite
Riccia
Duckweed
Red Root Floater
P. Gayi
L. Aromica [sp.]?
Hydrocoytle Lue...something...

So, as you can see, I'm very bad at remembering plant names, but I can grow plants pretty good!!

Inhabitants are:
Pumpkin [you know who he is]
various small snails

There is 4WPG[surprisingly, everything does well and doesn't burn]...and I'm thinking of getting Co2 in here if my plants prove to me they do better with.

Wish me luck!

My parents are buying me some more gravel tonight, which means a total rescape + WC tomorrow, but here is the tank and betta as of now...

This tank is growing waaayyyy to fast for me to keep up! The worst one is the Stargrass??? It's nice, but it's not one I would've expected to do well. It's like the HC now is, with it's unexpected carpeting.

When I put it more gravel and shoved the plants deeper, it looked like this, no new, new pics tho. Sorry,

I need some time to tidy it up and my mom wants her driftwood back, so I've got some major work ahead.

Still no Co2 yet.

There are 2x 20W Spiral Compact Fluorescents, in an incandescent fixture.

It gives me 4WPG and plenty of bubbles from the plants.

My friend[from another forum] slipped a Mystery Snail in a package of plants he sent, so the snail may or may not go in here. Depending on it's size. Most of those plants will be divided between here and the 29.

I just turned this tank into a jungle, no scape really, no specific theme, etc...

Fauna:
1x Male Veiltail Betta
1x Bamboo Shrimp
2x Black Kuhlie Loaches [when I catch them from the 55]
Millions of Pond, Ramshorn, &, Malaysian Trumpet Snails

Flora:
too many to count...more to come I think...just holding for the 55 until I can figure out how to scape this one....

Px[new]:

and the snail I put in the [slightly heated] pond cuz he hated this tank...

Enjoy!!

PS. Sorry there are no px of the Bamboo Shrimp...I JUST got him[he was 11$ too! Alittle less then 2 Threadfin Rainbowfish]...and my batteries are refusing to hold a charge unless the light is green on the charger[I need new batteries]

That betta is really cool I have never seen one like that.

Will it be a little too crowded in there if you add more fish.

It looks like you got some cool new plants you ought to post an updated picture.

Hydro: Yeah, he's pretty cool, but not as skittish/nice as I thought. Now he flares and tries to get to the girls in the 29gal. lol I'm not sure adding more fish would make it overstocked....I just think adding too much at one time would throw things off.

When I get rid of the brown b/n from the 55, this albino one will move in there and I'll have an albino b/n pair.

ZooTycoon: LOL, IDK.

Updated picture? The tank is alittle messy and I ended up trashing the HP camera since it didn't work any more...but:

This is the crappy, but OK webcam shot of the tank. [I got a new computer]

Oh, I do need to mention I cleaned the tank and added 2 guppies & 1 oto and pulled the burma danio and male b/n pleco.

The snails and plants you sent are doing well, btw, and I think my snails have had babies, I'm not sure yet. The MTS continue to thrive tho.

Guppies/betta:

Oto resting on broadleaf ludwigia leaf!

Obviously, the neon cave was just temp...but the fish didn't use it at all, so no neon colors in here ATM.
